เมื่อวันที่ 20 มกราคม 2564 คือวันสาบานเข้ารับตำแหน่งประธานาธิบดีสหรัฐอเมริกา นาย โจ ไบเดน สิ่งที่นักพูดอย่างปอนด์สนใจคือ key message ของ Biden ที่ washington post ให้ชื่อว่า History and hope วันนี้จะพามาดู key words ของ speech ครั้งนี้กันค่ะ
The will of the people has been heard and the will of the people has been heeded.
อยู่ในประโยคเเรกๆของ speech ครั้งนี้ เหมือนพูดกับ Trump โดยตรงว่า การเลือกตั้งที่ผ่านมาใสสะอาดเเละผมชนะ

We can treat each other with dignity and respect. We can join forces, stop the shouting and lower the temperature.

เเค่อยากบอกว่าผมไม่ ทรัมป์เเน่นอน คนที่ไม่ได้เลือกไม่ต้องกลัว จะรักทุกคน (ตอนทรัมป์ประกาศชัดเจนว่าจะเสริฟให้คนที่สนับสนุนก่อน)

รักประโยคนี้ เพราะมันสะท้อนตัวเองว่า จริง เวลาเราโกหก ก็เพื่อนผลประโยชน์ทั้งนั้น
So here’s my message to those beyond our borders. America has been tested, and we’ve come out stronger for it. We will repair our alliances and engage with the world once again.

Before God and all of you I give you my word. I will always level with you. I will defend the Constitution. I will defend our democracy. I will defend America. I will give my all in your service thinking not of power, but of possibilities. Not of personal interest, but of the public good.
