EP 096 : The first vegan hospital in the world🍀😯
Hi everyone 👋 I hope you are enjoying your meal while you are reading this article 💕
I just listened to "plant based science London" on YouTube. They talked about - - The Hayek hospital- - in Beirut, Lebanon is the first vegan hospital in the world😯 They started serving vegan meals to patients on March 1, 2021🍀Before changing new policy, they offered vegan meals with meat meals and let the patients choose, besides they educated the benefits of eating plant based food as well.

WHO (World Health Organization) said eating processed meat --like ham, bacon, sausages, etc-- is one of the root of cancer.
It's unsurprised to me about having plant based food recently but this is an interesting point that they take this part as their priority to help patients' health and environment 🍀👍
Well, talking about this topic I would like to share you guys some useful vocab 🍀 Let's goOo
🍀vegan : บ้านเราก็คือคนที่กินเจ ซึ่งจะไม่กินเนื้อสัตว์และผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มีส่วนประกอบของสัตว์เลย เช่น เจลาติน(เป็นส่วนที่สกัดจากวัว ปลา) สลัดครีมที่มีส่วนประกอบของไข่แดง เป็นต้น
🌟ถือว่าเป็นกลุ่มที่เคร่งที่สุดในการเลือกกินอาหารที่มาจากพืช และรวมไปถึงข้าวของเครื่องใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน เช่น เครื่องสำอางค์ กระเป๋า เสื้อผ้า อื่นๆ ที่ต้องไม่มีส่วนประกอบที่มาจากสัตว์
🍀 vegetarian : บ้านเราก็คือคนที่กินมังสวิรัติซึ่งคล้ายกับ vegan แต่จะไม่เคร่งมาก กล่าวคือสามารถกินอาหารที่มีส่วนประกอบจากสัตว์แบบทางอ้อมได้ เช่น เจลาติน (มักอยู่ในขนมเจลลี่กัมมี่) ผลิตภัณฑ์นม,ผลิตภัณฑ์เบเกอรี่ที่มักใส่นมผง,ไข่ เป็นต้น
🍀pescatarian : คือคนที่ไม่กินเนื้อ หมู ไก่ แต่กินปลาและอาหารทะเล
🍀flexitarian : คือคนที่อยู่ระหว่างมังสวิรัติกับกินเนื้อสัตว์แบบทั่วไป จริงๆคนธรรมดาอย่างเราๆที่กินเนื้อสัตว์และบางวันเกิดอยากกินแต่พวกพืชผัก ถั่ว ก็จัดอยู่ในกลุ่มนี้ได้ค่ะ
กลุ่มนี้เป็นกลุ่มที่อยากรู้อยากลองอะไรใหม่ๆ จึงถือเป็นกลุ่มที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการบริโภคอาหาร plant based มากในปัจจุบัน
