PRESENT SIMPLE
1. Describe habits, permanent situations or about something that happens repeatedly in the present.
Ex:
- He watches TV every night.
- What do you do every day?
- I go to school by bicycle.
2. Talk about general truths and facts.
Ex:
- The sun rises in the East.
- Tom comes from England.
- I am a student.
3. Talk about a fixed schedule, timetable or program.
Ex: The train leaves at 12:30 p.m.
4. Used after time conjunctions such as when, as soon as and in the Type 1 conditional sentences.
Ex:
- We will not believe you unless we see it ourselves.
- If she asks you, tell her that you do not know.
