Today Thai protesters and activists gather to march against the anti-assembly law draft initiated by the Prayuth junta govt.
which would criminalize 'undesirable civilian organizations' such as Amnesty International, iLaw, Thai Lawyers for Human Rights, and popular protest organizers.
While the draft is still in its public hearing stage, many pro-democracy groups are calling for the complete rejection of the bill,
citing totalitarian state control over civil assembly, attack on rights to assemble freely, and potential purge of all opposition under the guise of national security.
