On 4th of April 2022, Elon Musk bought a share of Twitter company of 9.2%. Which make him the largest shareholder in the company.
He criticised Twitter for not adhering to their promise of "free speech principles". He then suggested to change the platform to open source algorithm.
As part of his agreement to join the board, he must not have more than 14.9% shares of the Twitter. Because of this, he refused to join the board.
An analyst, Dan Ives, suspect that Elon Musk may be trying to buy and collect up the stake of the company. He could join up with some private company that would help him buy the shares and force some major changes towards the company.
