Kasetsart: Landmark of the Land
Kasetsart University moves forward to its 80th year of playing a crucial role in capacity building of people, creating
innovation, and providing academic services for sustainable development of the country.
Kasetsart University
The university has been recognized as a
world class university by academic reputation from all over the world. It is the pride of university personnels throughout past decades
of being an international standard university for its education, research, exchanging of faculties and students, facilities, and quality of
graduates, etc.
• Bangkhen
It is the main campus for setting administrative policies and carrying out missions in producing graduates, researching and
providing academic services. These missions are set for the development of the country. There are important places in the historical
events of the country, which is the prestige of Kasetsart people, such as Kasetsart University Main Auditorium, Chakrabandhu Pensiri
Hall, Suwannachat Pool, Nonsi trees planted by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, Kasetsart University Hall of History,
and much more. Besides, an agricultural fair (a.k.a. Kaset Fair) is an event for disseminating research results and transfer knowledge and
technology of the university to society.
• Kamphaeng Saen Campus The campus has provided training courses by consultant units to serve farmers in the central and western areas. The objective of academic services is to promote a farmer network or cooperative. This operation is conducted by the National Agricultural Extension
and Training Center (NEATC), the Center of Agricultural Biotechnology (CAB), the Rice Science Center, the technology clinic, etc.
The academic services and technology transfer to the community will create potential for quality livestock production (a.k.a KU niche
animal husbandry). Moreover, Pink Trumpet Tree Road within the campus is a noticeably important national tourist attraction.
• Sriracha Campus
The campus offers courses supporting economic expansion and manpower development in the EEC (Eastern Economic Corridor),
including environmental research and community ecology. The goal of Sriracha campus is to widen educational opportunities in the
eastern region to support the country's economic development plan.
• Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon Province Campus
The campus is the center of academic promotion to support the royal projects and royal initiative projects, such as the
potential of the economic aquaculture development project for farmers. In addition, the campus transfers practical technology from
research to surrounding communities.
In terms of important tourist attractions, the campus presents a learning-based tourism model,
such as Chaloem Phrakiat Lotus Park. In addition, research stations and student training stations which scattered throughout the
country are not only learning centers but also agricultural tourism, such as Wanakorn Beach, Doi Pui Research Station, Phetchabun
Research Station, etc.
The following missions: knowledge dissemination on breeding; cultivation technology development; agricultural processing;
and agricultural production with scientific methods, as well as offering supportive consulting for new business and marketing plans.
These knowledges supports all dimension of farmer works and uplift the well-being of surrounding communities. Therefore, we are
proud of the existence of Kasetsart University as a landmark of the land.
