major types of controls
ประเภทหลักๆ ของการ control
- Preventive Controls : Controls ที่ใช้ป้องกันเหตุ
- Detective Controls : Controls ที่ใช้สำหรับ Detect เหตุ
- Deterrent Controls : Controls ที่ใช้ป้องปราม ให้กลัว ไม่กล้าก่อเหตุ
- Corrective Controls : Controls ที่ใช้แก้ไขเหตุ Aka. Recovery Control
- Administrative Controls : Controls ในเชิงบริหารจัดการ เช่น Policy
- Compensating Controls : Controls ที่ใช้ทดแทนตัวหลัก เช่น ถ้าทางหลักยากหรือแพงไป

- Directive controls : give direction. These are the weakest controls
หรือจะแบ่งตามการบังคับใช้ก็ได้
- Automatic Controls : ทำ Auto จากระบบ
- Manual Controls: ใช้คนทำ เช่น Review ข้อมูล Audit
