Thunderous-Sky was an outstanding leader of Mount Kirin. His neighbors from Mount Tiger would like to befriend him, so they sent a lady, called “Moonlight,” to marry Thunderous-Sky. Their wedding occurred quietly, and the bride was very shy. One of the wedding gifts was a white tiger, called “Emerald Eye,” and this white tiger was quite a special animal with a mighty power. Two years later, there was no sign of pregnancy in Moonlight.
Mount Phoenix folks would also like to befriend Thunderous-Sky, so they sent a lady, called “Sunshine,” to marry the leader of Mount Kirin. Their wedding went spectacularly with a big celebration because Phoenix folks were famous for their feast.
Three of them lived together harmoniciously until Sunshine showed a sign of pregnancy. Moonlight felt uncomfortable, thus she ran away back to her town with her white tiger.
Sunshine’s belly got bigger and bigger. But after a year went by, Sunshine still did not deliver a child. Kirin folks began talking about it, and that pushed Sunshine into shame. She ran away from the mountain without telling Thunderous-Sky.
This time, Dragon River turned mad. It changed its course unpredictably, and that caused both flood and drought in so many areas. Thunderous-Sky spent all his time and effort into building dams and digging canals to relieve the disaster for his people without knowing what had happened with his two wives.
