I sit by the window, the rain
Drips down in a steady stream,
The house is warm and cozy,
A bottle of tea sits on the cream
The rain is like a lullaby,
It lulls me into a state of peace,
The world outside is busy,
But here I am, safe and released
Life is at play, I am just a witness,
To the events that unfold before me,
I can't control it, I can't resist it,
All I can do is sit and be
The rain is a reminder,
