Book Session: Can't Hurt Me // ช่วงนึงกับ Can't Hurt Me
David Goggins today known as the “Toughest Man Alive”. He had disturbing childhood and awful teen life. However, he lasted and became a Navy Seal. And he proved to himself that he was the best of the best. And this is a **Can’t Hurt Me** session.
In high school, David was charmed by a white girl. They decided to grab a little dinner together. Her dad, after finding them, rushed to them and said to his daughter “I don’t ever wanna see you sitting with this nigger* again”.
Apart from David’s story, in our civilized society with all these woke trends and positive mindset encouragement which is definitely great; however, in my opinion many attendee of the trends are just in it for clout. Social positivity became just a sign for approval rather than what it really means, presents, and wished for - a peaceful society.
So the hate isn’t straightforwardly seen but it cannot be denied that it is still there. I’m not here to prove a point but maybe reminding you to genuinely be positive and strong.
Facing negativity you have to be mindful of what to really care for, and so it’s up to you if you’re going to let it go or not. And as of giving out toxic negativity; it is totally fine, you don’t have beat yourself up for it as it won’t fix the past, what you can do is make people feel ok once again (sincerely apologize and be better) and always remember that responsibilities for one’s action lies only to the subject of the action and that subject alone - it’s you.
I believe I’m not a bad person, but sometimes I found myself being illogically mean to others because of certain stigma. Then I realized I have given them some “riddle they didn’t want to solve”. I have to admit to myself, in that moment I was a douche bag but also I have to ensure myself that it will be last one.
