In the context of war, #Islam strongly asks to follow a martial code of conduct wherein it says:

"Fight in the cause of Allah ˹only˺ against those who wage war against you but do not exceed the limits. Surely Allah does not like transgressors." - Qur'an 2:190
1. Do not harm a child.
2. Do not harm women
3. Do not harm the non-combatants and provide them safety.
4. Do not cut a tree.
5. Do not attack an armless combatant.
6. Do not harm natural resources.
7. Do not harm or hurt a sick person.
8. Do not attack a wounded combatant.
9. If a combatant submits or surrenders, accept it and provide him refuge.
10. Do not kill those who surrendered.
11. Do not chase or kill those who ran away.
12. Do no harm to a religious structure or building.
13. Do not destroy a building.
14. Do not kill an old person.
15. Do not harm a monk or a priest.
16. Treat the prisoners kindly and be good to them.
17. Feed the prisoners and do not taunt them.
18. Torture is strictly forbidden and prohibited.
19. Do not disfigure the dead.
20. Arrange for the burial of the dead.
21. Do not kill an animal except for eating.
22. Do not enforce Islam.
"...whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely." - Qur'an 5:32
This is Islam.
