it is the tallest skyscraper in Georg Town, Pennag. KOMTAR stands for Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak or translated into English as The Tun Abdul Razak complex. Tun Abdul Razak was the seocnd prime minister of Malaysia.
it is the center for transportation hub, business center as it contains adminstrative offices of Penang state government and was once the biggest shopping center in this town.
it was built in 1974 and completed in 1988 which costed RM 880 million for 68 floor.
