Jaroonkiet Pankaew, Deputy Commissioner of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), chaired a meeting with the police teams, he revealed the progress of the case that the two people involved were summoned to witness. Even though both CCTV footage and LINE chat history showed that they were alleged associates, the police agreed that they were secondary targets of the case.
Srisuwan Janya’s wife was now summoned to witness. Because she had a health problem and the police were still able to contact her through her lawyer, the police agreed to summon her to testify on 15 Feb. While another person will appear to investigate soon.
For 2 witnesses whom Atchariya Reuangrattanapong, chairman of the Help Crime Victims Club, informed their information to the Anti-Corruption Division, will appear to investigate on 12 Feb.

Pol.Maj.Gen. Jaroonkiet interrogated Lt.Thanakrit Jitareerat, the Assistant to the Ministry of Justice, on 7 Feb. Lt.Thanakrit said that he was extorted similarly to the Director General of the Rice Department case, but he denied being extorted and attempted to meet the offenders to meet Somsak Thepsuthin, the Deputy Prime Minister holding a position at that time, to make a compromise. However, a group of offenders denied it and insisted on extortion.
Pol.Maj.Gen. Jaroonkiet affirmed that the evidence and witnesses were enough for group 3, but interrogation from victims was needed first. And the victims will be interrogated soon.
According to the reporter, a Department in the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives is involved. The Deputy Commissioner of CIB said that the information of the former Vice Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office, Seksakol Atthawong, could not be revealed yet, and the deputy affirmed that this information was necessary to the case. The deputy was not ready to tell the reporters about the famous people involved because the information needed to be confidential to be followed by the police.
Pol.Maj.Gen. Jaroonkiet guaranteed that the group of offenders was the same, no new member was added. All the evidence will be sent to the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission after the evidence is enough to proceed. But if Seksakol gives the necessary information about the case, his information will also proceed.
