Surin Province by the provincial governor, District Chief of every district, local government organization, Government agencies in every sector, Baron in Surin Province and the Tourism Authority of Thailand have jointly organized The festival of elephant round up show since 1962, able to make foreigners around the world know about Surin.
Love Surin elephants and Thai elephants. It is an annual festival that is both educational and fun for both elephants and humans. It can make all Surin people own this festival and also change the way of life of Surin people to have a mind that loves differences and internationality. But still strong in the roots of wisdom and culture.
It took 62 years for the gradual change to occur. Therefore, it may be said that Folklore, Culture and wisdom are the foundations for peace and immunity to war. It began to appear clearly at Surin.
These interesting facts are of interest to all countries around the world. We are pleased to find partner with the human and elephant communities of the Lam Chi Mun Basin. Thank you to the members of the Surin Provincial House of Representatives, Governor of Surin Province, Heads of government agencies, barons, local scholars and the elephant herder community that pay homage to H.E.Hungarian Ambassador and give a warm welcome to him.
Now is the right time may invite His Excellency to open the 1st World Elephant Songkran Festival.
