Gateway Foundation has announced plans to build the world’s first space hotel. The company aims to welcome 100 tourists each week by 2025, helping ordinary people spend time in space. The hotel will be assembled on-site by robots and drones.
Building on the technology of the international space station, the Von Braun Space Station will also have about 400 long-term residents. They’ll feel right at home thanks to some specific design choices.
The hotel will simulate lunar gravity, making it the first such station with artificial gravity whre your belongings won’t fly around.
Implications for the future:
- Expanding the branches of real estate and hotel companies outside of the world.
- The space economy will grow significantly from the development of space tourism including accommodation, food, medicine, furniture, space suits, and insurance.
