Tate Modern via St. Paul's Cathedral and Millennium Bridge. Saturday 12 October 2024
Why had I missed it?! I’ve never been to the Tate before. Highly recommended for the one who loves art but never understands about it. I would definitely say this is a real deal of great world-class, contemporary art. The main exhibition that covers the space of 2 floors by Mire Lee was spectacular.
The artwork itself gathers people in the middle of the old turbine hall and the dripping sound of the water made us all curious to look into the middle. While I was standing there a mother asked her daughter that “what would that be?”
The girl brightly said it was a spider!!! Well!! Let’s have look what the artist said. They is no right or wrong about what you will say, however it brings to us a lot of contradictory emotions, as the artist mentioned.
The Tate Modern used to be a power station and the exhibition reveals the structure of the building similar to like being in a wound.
The message is that one day the power station had gone and that we will one day be rotten.
This is such an impressive art installation; And not only in how they manage the space but using sound, layout and materials. It is a really good display.
