Tower of London via Shadwell Basin and St. Katharine’s Dock. Sunday 13 October 2024
Another nice afternoon walking with Frances, my landlord. We decided to go a bit further from where we lives. Frances has a dog named Monty and he’s a tiny dog with a beautiful hair.
If we want to chat with random people, when you have a cute dog, people sometimes come to say hi. A few people had a little chat with Frances and one shared a story that her dog had just passed away.
We started to walk from Shadwell Basin along the canal and it is very much hidden London. It is completely quiet but just at the back of busy tourist area next to Tower Bridge.
At Tower Bridge Wharf is a recommended photo spot where you can see Tower Bridge with a panoramic view.
Then, we walked pass the replica of a Spanish Galleon named ‘Andalucia’ at St. Katharine’s Dock. It will be here one more day before returning to Spain. Andalucia is the only Galleon in the world that still sails in the present day and it just came to London last month as ambassador from Spain.

Before heading back to London Bridge station, we had a break at the Watch House café and had a super unique rose and raspberry cake .
