Fire in the body and intermittent fasting
My fasting laboratory or many people call it my Hibernation Laboratory. The author spent 13 years to conduct research or Dharma research periodically for 72 hours or 3 days, totaling 103 times. The author recorded the events during the experiment and printed 103 pages. That is, the author acted as both an experimental animal, an observer, a researcher and a recorder...
. In that, the author observed only the breath in and out all the time. Both the author's postures, sitting, lying down, standing and walking, and discovered that walking increases the body's energy and this energy is driven along with the water in the body and the breath that spreads throughout the body.
Our brain orders us to drink a lot of water to replace food. There is learning of the vibration of various organs of the body, knowing the body, feelings, memories, thoughts more and it can combine emotions into one called meditation to cover hunger....
.Therefore, meditation is a special energy or energy that makes us full. What we call "Jhana" can make our body and mind's strength endure hunger.
At the same time, the author found that hunger is the energy that drives water and oxygen in the body. To accelerate internal combustion efficiently to increase the four types of heat energy:
1. Fire that digests food.... When food is not fed through the mouth, the digestive system pulls old food in the small and large intestines to digest it again. This "old food" contains nutrients from fermentation that are useful in strengthening and treating some worn out parts of the body and releases heat energy.
2. Fire that makes the body restless is the emotions of lust, anger, and delusion, which we drive regularly when we are affected by the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and body.... But in this laboratory, we have to be alone, not touching anyone, so we use meditation or focusing on meditation to reduce the fire that makes the body restless.
3. Fire that deteriorates the body is the natural system of the body that is born and must deteriorate and die. But fasting provides alternative energy from Growth Hormone and
4. Fire that keeps the body warm. Even though we fast, the energy or fire in point 1 may decrease, but the body system has alternative energy as mentioned in all points.
Therefore, this type of fire remains the same but is cleaner energy than before, which is valuable for healing the body and reducing pollution from the natural gas exchange process of the external environment.
The author would like to suggest a way to be a doctor to treat your own body as follows:
Intermittent Energy Restriction (IER)
is fasting for periods that are not continuous, alternating with regular meal periods.
The health benefits of losing weight, reducing the amount of fat in the body, not having to control the amount of food, and may even help slow down aging.
Normally, the human body has 2 stages of nutrient metabolism: post-meal metabolism (Fed state metabolism) and fasted stated metabolism (Fasted stated metabolism), namely:
(1) When we start eating and the body has high blood sugar, it enters post-meal metabolism. The hormone insulin (Insulin) will be secreted from the pancreas to carry sugar from the blood into the body's cells and use it as an energy source. After that, the energy from excess sugar is stored as fat.
(2) When we fast, we lack energy until the blood sugar level is When blood sugar and insulin hormones are low, it will enter into fasting metabolism, i.e.,
the hormone glucagon will be released to stimulate the body to create new sugar to maintain blood sugar levels not too low and to break down accumulated fat as a source of energy. Fasting for more than 12 hours or as the author has tried fasting for 72 hours at a time to stimulate our body to enter into fasting metabolism is a stimulus for the body to use the accumulated energy, which causes fat to break down, reducing the amount of fat in the body and reducing body weight.
