The Port of Qingdao, which commenced operation in 1892, is an excellent natural port in Qingdao City, east China's #Shandong Province. Connecting to more than 700 ports worldwide, the port serves as one of the key unloading ports in northern China.
The port has introduced hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks to one of its terminals to make progress in green development. With automation and green technologies, the port with more than 100 years of history has emerged as one of the key international shipping and trading hubs in China, connecting Northeast Asia and surrounding areas.
In 2024, the port's cargo volume reached 694 million tonnes and its container volume was 32.17 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), according to the annual report from the Shandong Port Group. #SeeChina
