Blockdit is derived from 2 words, Block + Edit, which are 2 main features.

  • Block means that content is presented in “block” style that is easy to read. Also, users can enjoy reading articles with photos inserted between blocks.
  • Edit means that everyone can create the content in the platform. Everyone can be an editor.

Posts from your following users and interesting posts suggested for you.

Explore

Posts from users that you do not follow. Feed will be shown according to Blockdit suggestion.

Posts that are the most popular at that time.

Questions from curious users and users can help answer to the questions.

User

You can manage your own account: Edit User Info where you can set your Display Name and Username, Bookmark where you can save posts you would like to revisit, Activity Log, Page Manager, Business Manager, Notification Settings, Language Settings, Night Mode.

Notification

You will be notified when someone comments on your post or replies to your comment.

About Page

What is the difference between Page and People? Why should you create Page?

Page works like a corporate where you can assign roles to People or transfer People to Page in order to cooperate on your Page.

  • Page is able to schedule a post
  • Page is able to create a draft
  • Page is able to create series, videos, podcasts
  • Page is able to pin a post
  • Page is able to arrange a post into various categories
  • Page supports role-based system: Admin, Editor and Analyst
  • Page with starred posts at least 3 posts is able to monetize a post
  • Unlike People, Page is unable to follow other Users
How to assign a new Page Role?

You can add People to manage your Page. Go to Page Profile > Edit Page > Page Roles and search for their Display Names. Page Roles are catagorized to 3 types as follows:

  • Owner

    Owner can assign Page Roles, manage posts, reply comments, preview page statistics, register monetization.

  • Editor

    Editor can manage posts, schedule posts, edit posts, reply comments.

  • Analyst

    Analyst can preview page statistics.

How to schedule a post?

Only Page is able to schedule posts. Click on Create Post > Schedule and then set the time you would like to schedule.

How to transfer People to Page?

Go to User > Add Page > Transfer People to Page. All posts, followers, Page name, comments will be transferred to Page. All User data will be removed except people or pages that you are following.

How to assign Page ownership to another People?

Assign Page Owner Role to People and remove an original Owner

What are Terms about Creating Page?

To prevent a spam account, user must register account via phone numbers before creating a new page. If User originally registered via Facebook accounts, User can link phone number with the account in Edit User Info. Page Owner Role can be assigned no more than 3 pages per User.

Monetization

How to Monetize?

Page with starred posts at least 3 posts is able to monetize a post.

Monetization Terms and Conditions
  • Monetization in Blockdit is categorized into 3 types: Ads, Star and Diamond.
  • Ads Monetization comes from revenue sharing of ads in the posts. Users can disable ads monetization in some posts or all posts afterwards.
  • Earning from Star is calculated from the number of Star and the rate for Star which may vary on each post.
  • Starred post can be monetized under the terms as follows
    • Content must be original.
    • Copied content is ineligible for monetization. At least 90% of the content must be original by creators.
    • For translation, summary, news report, if their main contents are similar to the sources, that posts are ineligible for monetization.
    • Arrangement post, storytelling post, analysis post, opinion post, review post, and comparison post that use information from other sources are eligible for monetization but references must be shown in the post.
    • The article post must have at least 200 characters.
    • Less than 200 characters article post must have photo that contains Page’s name on the photo.
    • Content must not refer to Blockdit and not use Blockdit logo to represent the content.
    • Creators must not offer rewards or returns or invitation to users for engaging that post.
    • Main content must not be about introducing the page's owner.
    • At least 90% of the content must be original and never posted before in Blockdit.
    • For podcasts and videos, the length of media must be longer than 1 minute.
  • Starred post can be reviewed at anytime. Star and calculated earning may be cancelled if starred post does not comply with the terms.
  • Posts starred before starting monetization are not included in monetization.
  • Earning from Diamonds is calculated from the number of Diamonds and the rate for Diamonds which may change over time.
Active Status of Pages in the Monetization System on Blockdit
  1. Pages in the monetization system must post on Blockdit at least once a month to maintain Active status for that month.
  2. By the 5th of the following month, pages that were not Active in the previous month will have 450 THB deducted from their earnings.
  3. If a page's accumulated earnings on Blockdit are less than 450 THB, the deduction will equal the total accumulated earnings.
  4. Pages that are not Active can regain Active status by posting at least once during the month. Page status will be updated by the 5th of the following month.

About Registration

How do User register an account?

User can register an account via phone number or Facebook account.

How to change phone numbers registered on Blockdit?

Go to Edit User Info > Phone Number > Change Number > Verify OTP to confirm phone number change

How to change Facebook accounts registered on Blockdit?

User need to add phone numbers registered on Blockdit first, then unlink current Facebook account and link the new Facebook account instead.

Can User register via both phone numbers and Facebook accounts?

User can add phone numbers or Facebook account in Edit User Info and can sign in via both phone numbers and Facebook account.

How to delete Blockdit account?

Go to Edit User Info > Delete Account. Deleted accounts can be reactivated within 3 days of deletion; otherwise, the account will be deleted.

No. User must choose only one account, and delete another account, which takes 3 days for the account deletion to be complete. After that User can link phone number or Facebook account to the chosen account.

How to change username?

Go to edit user info > username. User/ Page with more than 1,000 followers can not change its username.

About Series, Videos, and Podcasts

How to create Series

Series is a feature that connects several posts together. Users can read posts continuosly in Series. Series can be created only by Page in Page profile.

How to create Videos

Video is a post that contains motion pictures and audio. Video can be created only by Page that has at least 100 followers. Supported Video formats: .mp4 .3gp .mov length up to 90 mins, size up to 2 GB.

How to create Podcasts

Podcast is a post that contains only audio that users can listen in background. Podcast can be created only by Page. Supported Podcast formats: .mp3 .aac .m4a length up to 300 mins, size up to 1 GB.

About Hide Post

  • Click More menu on a post, then select “Hide posts from …”.
  • Users can follow pages that they are interested in. Posts from followed pages can be viewed from Home.
  • Users won’t see posts from Page / User who was hidden in Home and Explore but still see in Popular.

What is Post Statistics?

  • Impression

    The number of times a post is viewed

  • Reach

    The number of people who view a post (if people sees the post several times, this will be counted as 1 reach)

  • Engagement

    Post engagements include the following:

    • Reactions

    The number of Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad

    • Comments

    The number of comments

    • Shares

    The number of shares

    • Follows

    The number of new followers who see the post

    • Profile Clicks

    The number of profile clicks on the post

    • Post Clicks

    The number of post clicks

    • Photo Clicks

    The number of photo clicks

    • Link Clicks

    The number of link clicks

    • Other Clicks

    The number of other clicks such as See More, Continue Reading and View comments

Blockdit welcomes all content from people with different areas of expertise. However, following posts are not allowed to be on Blockdit Feed.

Blockdit Reference Content
  • Content must not imply a Blockdit endorsement or partnership of any kind, or an endorsement by any other Blockdit company.
  • Content should not represent Blockdit.
  • Landing pages must not use our copyrights, trademarks, or any confusingly similar marks.
Adult Content
  • Posts must not contain adult content. This includes nudity or activities that are overly suggestive or sexually provocative.
Dangerous or Derogatory Content

The following content are not allowed:

  • Content that threatens or advocates for physical or mental harm on oneself or others
  • Content that harasses, intimidates, or bullies an individual or group of individuals
  • Content that incites hatred against, promotes discrimination of, or disparages an individual or group on the basis of their race or ethnic origin, religion, age, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic condition
  • Content that incites political conflicts by disinformation
  • Content that promotes terrorism and seeks alliances
  • Content that promotes the sale or use of weapons, ammunition, or explosives. This includes Posts for weapon modification accessories and use of weapons to harm an individual or group of individuals
Drugs & Drug-Related Content
  • Posts must not promote or support the sale or use of illegal, prescription, or recreational drugs.
Alcohol and Alcohol-Related Content
  • Posts must not promote or support the sale of alcoholic drinks and over drinking.
Tobacco Related Content
  • Posts must not promote or support the sale or use of cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes and any products from a component part of a tobacco.
Animal Related Content
  • Posts must not promote or support the sale of any animals.
Lotteries Content
  • Posts must not promote or support the sale of lotteries run by non-government entities.
Gambling and Games Content
  • Posts must not promote online and offline real-money gambling and coin-based games that offer prizes or rewards in return.
Medication, Supplements and Beauty Products Content
  • Posts must not promote the sale or use of medicines and supplements required a doctor's prescription. This includes unsafe herbs, non-FDA approved products and beauty products such as some weight loss pills and whitening creams.
Multilevel Marketing Content
  • Posts must not promote or support quick compensation for little investment, including multilevel marketing and persuasion to join a network marketing company or event.
Amulet, Talisman and Superstition-Related Content
  • Posts must not promote or support amulets, talismans, superstition and black magic including the sale of these products and services.
Hacking and Cracking-Related Content
  • Posts must not promote products or services that enable a user to gain unauthorized access to systems, devices, or property.
Clickbait and Offers Content
  • Posts must not promote offers or incentives to get engagements and interactions from users.
Misleading or False Content
  • Posts must not promote misleading content, false news or claims without credible evidence to deceive about products and services.
Offensive and Sensational Content
  • Posts must not contain shocking, disrespectful or excessively violent content.
Financial Products and Services Content

Posts must not promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices.

The following content are not allowed:

  • Promoting credit card applications, or financial services with unauthorized institutions
  • Partially providing important information and conditions about products and services
  • Directly request the input of a person’s financial information, including credit card information
Forgery and Forging Services Content

Posts may not promote or support forgery products and services such as fake passport, academic papers, and official documents. This includes an exam cheating services.

Copyrighted Content
  • Posts must not contain copyrighted content, images, trademarks or personal rights and ownerships by reproduction, adaptation and communication to the public.
Illegal Products or Services Content
  • Posts must not facilitate or promote illegal products, services or activities that threaten lives and properties.

Inappropriate Engagement

Should you see any inappropriate posts that are noncompliant with Blockdit Policy, please report by clicking on the button on the upper right of the post.

Users who engage with the following inappropriate behaviors will be banned from the system.

  • Repeatedly comment to other posts with the same words.
  • Comment to other posts with advertising content.
  • Comment to other posts with invitation to visit or engage commentor’s post.
  • Use several pages that belong to the same owner to engage in the same post.

Star Conditions

Blockdit has starred post system for the popular post from page. Star is calculated within 24 hours from published time. Starred post must comply with the following terms.

  • Content must be original.
  • Copied content is ineligible for monetization. At least 90% of the content must be original by creators.
  • For translation, summary, news report, if their main contents are similar to the sources, that posts are ineligible for monetization.
  • Arrangement post, storytelling post, analysis post, opinion post, review post, and comparison post that use information from other sources are eligible for monetization but references must be shown in the post.
  • The article post must have at least 200 characters.
  • Less than 200 characters article post must have photo that contains Page’s name on the photo.
  • Content must not refer to Blockdit and not use Blockdit logo to represent the content.
  • Creators must not offer rewards or returns or invitation to users for engaging that post.

Star is calculated from many factors including reach and engagement such as continued reading, reaction, comment, and engagement time for Video or Podcast. In addition, number of views is not directly correlated with chance for getting the star because the star is calculated by ratio of engagement to the number of views.

The post that does not comply with the starred post condition will be disqualified but not be removed from the system.

However, the post that does not comply with our main policy will be removed from the system.

BD Coins and Diamonds

What are BD Coins and Diamonds?

BD Coins are items used to produce Diamonds. Diamonds are the rewards that users send to express appreciation for certain content creators. Currently, BD Coins will be converted to Diamonds at a rate of 1:1. For example, 95 BD Coins purchased are worth 95 Diamonds.

How to purchase BD Coins?

Users can place an order by tapping the BD Coin icon and selecting the amount. The more BD Coins you purchase, the more discounts you get.

Who can receive Diamonds?

Eligible users are Page owners who already applied for Monetization.

How much is 1 Diamond worth?

When Page owners got the diamonds. 1 Diamond is worth 0.3 Baht in Monetization. The Diamond rate is subject to change as needed.

How to pay out Diamonds?

Go to “Monetize” on your Page and click “Payout” in the Transactions menu. Please note that verification is required before payout.

Blockdit Society

Blockdit community value User’s safety and privacy the most.

  • Blockdit has no friend system. User is all independent.
  • Followers are unknown to other users except for those who are followed.
  • Posts that User reacts to are unknown to others except for the owner of that post.
  • People and Page Owner can ban People, Page Owner or Page from engaging with the posts.
  • On the Following tab, User can unfollow People or Page one dislikes.
  • On the Explore tab, User can hide posts from People or Page one doesn’t want to see.

Refund Policy

We do not refund any payments, if you want to issue a refund for payments made with credit cards, you need to contact the card issuer.

Exceeded Cost

Exceeded cost might be charged in case there are a lot of impressions on the boost when it is about to be completed.
